Larger ‘Kärlhylla’ from Dalarna, Sweden ca 1780
A kärlhylla is a traditional Swedish shelf from the 18th and 19th centuries, used in kitchens to store bowls, vessels, and kitchen utensils.
It was often mounted directly on the wall and could have special compartments for each family member’s spoons or cutlery.
Beautiful patina.
Made out of pine wood.
Metal reinforcements on the back.
