Norwegian ‘Trøys Skål’ ca 1680-1730
This is a wooden vessel used to pour beer from the barrel into drinking bowls. Also often used to poor milk as well.
It was often ornately carved and played a key role in communal drinking during social gatherings.
With a decorative handle on one side and a lovely patina.
The spout has been broken off.
Owner marks and made of pine wood.
