Anne-Lise Aas – Pioneering Norwegian Interior Architect and Designer

Aas was a Norwegian interior architect who played a key role in promoting Norway’s folk art and furniture industry.
She studied at the National Academy of Craft and Art Industry in Norway and the Danish School of Design under Finn Juhl.

After collaborating with leading architects, she became an artistic partner for Den Norske Husflidsforening in 1958.

For her contributions to design and craftsmanship, she was awarded the Jacob Prize in 1973, Norway’s most prestigious design award.

Her timeless works remain a testament to Scandinavian aesthetics and quality.
