Stunning Swedish ‘Fäbod’ Ladder, circa 1850

Its sculptural presence and large size, crafted with an axe from a single solid piece of pine wood, is breathtakingly beautiful and just as functional today as when it was first made.

The bottom shows signs of root rot.
