Swedish Trestle Table from Järvsö, Hälsingland, circa 1760-1780
It has markings, cracks, and letters carved into the top, to say it has a rustic feel is an understatement.
Additionally, there is a salt indentation (pit) in the corner, due to the practice of using salt in its solid form, which was hard, and people would smash it with a stone and grind it on the table.
The table has stood the test of time, old and brown and gray with a heavy patina. Made out of pine wood.
Fits four people.
